WarUnited exists to protect memory, starting with the privacy of the people who trust us with it.
This demonstration site stores submissions locally in your own browser (localStorage) and transmits nothing.
Profiles of living veterans require the veteran's documented consent before publication, and living veterans may amend or remove their profile at any time. Service numbers are optional and hidden from public view by default.
Public memorial pages are visible to all visitors, as intended by their contributors. Account information is shared only with processors necessary to run the Platform (hosting, payments for donations) under contractual confidentiality.
Archives are meant to endure, memorial content is preserved indefinitely as a historical record. Account data is deleted on request. Families may request the removal of a memorial page they administer.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest at launch. Report vulnerabilities via the contact page.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including PIPEDA in Canada and GDPR in the EU), you may request access, correction, portability, or deletion of your personal data. Write to us via the contact page and we will respond within 30 days.
We use only the essential cookies and local storage needed to run the site and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell data to anyone.
WarUnited is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16; if you believe we have, contact us and we will remove it.
